Fathima Farzana represents the new generation of biotechnology professionals—motivated, meticulous, and passionately committed to excellence in their field. With a strong academic foundation and hands-on laboratory experience, she is steadily building her path in microbiology and pharmaceutical safety.
After completing her MSc in Biotechnology with Merit from the University of Greenwich in May 2024, Farzana achieved a significant milestone in her academic journey. During her time at the university, she gained rigorous hands-on experience in the Microbiology Lab, where her placement concluded in December 2023. There, she developed core biotechnological competencies, including High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) techniques and adherence to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) guidelines. This experience enabled her to effectively bridge theoretical knowledge with practical laboratory application.
A defining aspect of her academic journey was her MSc research project focused on Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) one of the most pressing global health challenges of our time. Deeply passionate about this area, she aspires to continue contributing to research and innovation that addresses the growing threat of resistant pathogens. Her work in this field reflects not only scientific curiosity but also a long-term commitment to safeguarding global public health.
Throughout her academic and laboratory experience, Farzana built a solid foundation in microbiological practices, quality control, and biotechnological systems. Her professional approach is marked by precision, discipline, and an unwavering commitment to safety—qualities essential in laboratory and pharmaceutical environments.
